This week during speech and language sessions, some of our middle school students had the opportunity to practice functional vocabulary and sequencing skills with a spring themed cooking activity. The student's favorite part was taste testing their hard work at the end! 🐛🍪🍫
The Mason Dixon Boys Basketball Tournament and Cheer Competition has been rescheduled for January 31- Feb. 1. We are so happy they were able to reschedule!! Our teams will leave ENCSD next week on Thursday, January 30 at 3:00am to travel to Louisiana School for the Deaf.

September is Deaf Awareness Month and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper officially recognizes the Deaf community, culture and American sign language (ASL).
The Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DSDHH) has regional Deaf Services Specialists who are experts on Deaf culture, ASL and are trained as sign language proficiency evaluators. Please check out the calendar and DSDHH Facebook for regional Deaf awareness events!

The dietary staff had their first themed event of the year in the cafeteria yesterday. Staff and students wore as much red, white, and blue as they could. The dietary staff decorated the cafeteria and provided a themed menu. Great job!
🎨🍊🍇🍌🥕A few of our talented ENCSD students immersed themselves in the vibrant world of Paul Cézanne, painting fruits and vegetables of their choice on canvas. This creative project followed a thorough review of color theory, where students explored mixing colors and developed their color wheels with primary, secondary, and intermediate hues.
Our coed soccer team is travelling to play at NCSD today!! Good luck Fighting Hornets!!⚽️🚎
