Staff attend workshop on legislative training and LEAD-K

On Saturday, March 4th, the North Carolina Association of the Deaf (NCAD) hosted an all day workshop on legislative training and LEAD-K (Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids).  The speakers were, Julia Adams (NCAD lobbyist), Linda Kessler Nelson (NCAD advocate) and Kim Bianco (NAD lobbyist).  Sessions were offered on the legislative process, LEAD-K and how to become an effective advocate.  For more information, the website for LEAD-K is www.lead-k-org.
